The GT6 was not a creation based on the fastback-styled Le Mans Spitfire race cars as many believe. Actually, its sleek, fastback roof line was based on a prototype that Spitfire designer Giovanni Michelotti created back in 1963 when the heads at Standard-Triumph asked him to style a Spitfire GT.

Haven't tried them yet in GT6, but the Jag XJR-9 and Mazda 787B were great in GT5. Fastest GT5 time trial laptimes at Le Mans was the Audi R8 '01 though, by about 3 seconds. FussyFez and photonrider.
